Hey y’all! I’m writing this from Ohio, where I’m visiting the fam and getting ready to toss my nieces into piles of leaves. #UncleLife
Maybe it’s just the season to be in my feelings, but I feel so grateful for DoSomething members like you, who give me so much hope for the future. Thank you for inspiring me every single day.
This holiday, while you’re practicing gratitude (like we did at our staff Thanksgiving potluck), you can also read our guide to educate friends on the real history of Thanksgiving, and help support Native communities too.
Let’s Do This! Ben, Editor-in-chief and (Self-Proclaimed) World’s Best Uncle
Autumn Has Lots of Friends With Lots of Goals. Good Thing She Also Has Unlimited Support to Give. I love my friends,” says the 18-year-old DoSomething member. “I want them to always know that if they need help with anything regarding their dreams, the help is always there.”
Kylie wants to be an artist. Meanwhile Cynthia’s goal is becoming a pro volleyball player and Tony dreams of being a writer (from one writer to another, you got this, Tony!).
“I want every single one of them to achieve their goals!” says Autumn, who hails from (my home state!) of Ohio.
So she gave each of them one of our Give Más, Get Más cards. When her friends texted the keyword on the card, we sent them our clutch guide on networking, finding a mentor, and building a community to make their dreams a reality. Join Autumn and the thousands of DoSomething members having their friends’ backs this holiday season. Let’s Do This.
Our favorite teacher from (whadaya know??) Ohio helped his classes create over 125 cards of appreciation for our military service members, veterans, and their families. Learn how to send your letter today, thanks to NFL Huddle for 100.

More Amazing Impact From the DoSomething Community
Last week, we asked you to brag about amazing stuff you’re doing, and you did not disappoint. Here are some of our favorite answers from the DoSomething community. (And submit yours here!)
“I headed a campaign with my family to create activity books for sick and shut in children. We created 67 activity books and distributed them to Cooper University Hospital pediatrics department and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. They were very touched and grateful.”
- DoSomething member Monica, 15, New Jersey
“I presented at a Diversity & Equity conference for arts schools on my perspective as a gender non-conforming and neurodiverse student. I had several queer students come up to be afterwards and tell me how much seeing my work meant to them!”
- DoSomething member Socks, 20, California
“[I’m a] photographer for my school's newspaper, The Downey Legend. Came from a small private school (of <400 students) and transferred to public school (of>4,200 students).”
- DoSomething member Clarissa, 17, California
