Hey y’all.
It’s now been two weeks since Election Day, and despite some of the false claims President Trump is making on Twitter, the election is on its way to being certified with no evidence of widespread voter fraud. No, dead voters did not vote in Michigan, voting machines didn’t delete votes for Trump, and military votes in Georgia were not lost. The lawsuits alleging this kind of nefarious activity continue to be filed and dismissed across several states.
Meanwhile, the Georgia recount is going smoothly, and election officials have reported few problems among the 5 million votes cast (save for 2,600 bipartisan votes that were missed in Floyd County due to human error but ultimately won’t sway the outcome of the election). All in all, we’re in the home stretch now, with final certification expected in early December.
There’s a lot of misinformation out there -- learn how to spot (and fight) it.

Go There Greener: How DoSomething Members Are Fighting Climate Change One Ride at a Time The US could keep nearly 941 million metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) out of the atmosphere if we committed to cutting our yearly emissions from transportation in half. The good news is, you can save several pounds of carbon emissions by switching up your ride for just one day.
That’s why DoSomething members are taking our Go There Greener personality quiz, powered by Chevrolet, for a customized way to reduce their carbon footprint and measure their positive environmental impact as a driver, passenger, pedestrian, or cyclist.
“I strongly value people reducing their carbon footprint,” says DoSomething member Collin, 14, who saved eight pounds of CO2 emissions by taking the subway. “With the global temperature at an all time high due to carbon emissions in the Earth's atmosphere, us teens have to take initiative to stop this, and it starts with this campaign.” “Natural disasters are taking place around the world daily due to the neglect we have given our environment,” says Brandy, 23, a DoSomething member who decided to carpool with a coworker. “This campaign is important to me because I want to do my part to help save our planet.” The DoSomething community has already reduced their emissions by 7,104 pounds. Help us get to 10,000!
As COVID-19 cases surge, mask wearing is crucial to slowing the spread and saving lives. The pandemic is hitting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) communities hardest, so DoSomething member Reena, 17, and her local Muslim Students Association made 200 masks for their community.
“Masks made to unite us all as one! And together we rise!” Reena says. Use our step-by-step guide to add to the 36,418 no-sew masks DoSomething members have made.
